The people were great and very nice, and the pool was clean and good. The location is a bit far out, but it’s quiet. I paid $USD29 a night through Agoda for my ten-night stay. The rooms were clean, but I had poor water pressure in the showers in both rooms, which seems common in Chaingmai. The towels were old, and some bed sheets had cigarette burns. Lighting was a problem in both rooms too. One had glass bricks instead of curtains, and in the other the curtain didn’t cover the whole window, so light kept coming into my room at night. The breakfast buffet was very good, with authentic thai food, but I ate it and it ruined my appetite for the rest of my stay. I lost so much weight that people commented on it when I got home. Bring your own salad dressing, since the only option was something like creamy thousand island mixed with mayo. Please give the hotel cat Panda lots of love and a pet for me, even though she’s dusty. If you tell the staff she’s dusty, they’ll spray her with a hose right outside the lobby. Poor sweet Panda.

The bed was very comfortable, while the bathroom was basic and breakfast just so-so. There are eateries nearby, though. This isn’t the best hotel by a long way, but at £14/B600 a night, you get what you pay for. A hotel is just a base when you’re out all day, so enjoy the place for what it is and don’t expect too much.

It’s a very worn-down hotel, with tired furniture, fixtures, and amenities. The AC compressor sits just outside the balcony and is noisy. On a budget, it’s fine for a quick one-night stay. Watch out for mosquitoes!

The staff were very friendly and did their best to help, and the rooms are spacious. But the beds aren’t very comfortable, the toilet was in poor condition, and the toiletries they provide, shampoo and body wash, smell terrible. Over ten days, the buffet dishes, including rice, soup, fried eggs, and meat, were always cold or burned. The internet was terrible too. We started in the old building, where there was no Wi-Fi reception at all, then paid to move to the new building, which was almost as bad. Prices are nearly the same as in the Old Town, which makes little sense. The area feels very local and has some nice places nearby, but to see temples or take tours you’ll need a taxi to the city centre.

The room was spacious and more or less okay, and the bed was alright, though not very comfortable. The toilet wasn’t very clean. Bring your own toiletries and bath towel for personal safety. Breakfast was edible, but not delicious.
