Pha Thai House

The charming property has lots of plants and flowers, and the room’s wooden interiors give it an antique feel. The two young women at reception were always cheerful and helpful, and the location is great, with key temples and markets within walking distance. A few room details could be improved. There’s only one plug point by the bed, instead of one on each side, and none by the mirror, which makes the hair dryer pretty useless there. The mirror is too low to see your face while standing, a hassle for makeup. The water was only lukewarm, not hot.

We stayed in a family room, which was very clean and made up every day. The front desk staff were lovely and looked after us well. We arranged a small extra payment for a 4pm checkout before our train. The hotel is very central to good restaurants and cafes, and pickup for activities outside the city was easy. The only small criticism is that the pool seemed over-chlorinated. Otherwise, it’s a great hotel and I’m happy to recommend it.

An old-style Thai place, and I mean that as a good thing. Really lovely, clean, comfortable, and homely. The staff are great too. Loved it.

The room was cozy, the staff were friendly, and the guests’ private pool was a nice place to cool down. It’s an easy walk to the night market. I stayed one night.
