Maybe I caught them on an off day. I was nearby for lunch and popped in at 3PM for a quick coffee, but the door was locked. Staff let me in, and the place was empty apart from two staff members. They were cold, unfriendly, and rushed, with no welcome or smile. It felt like having a customer there was an inconvenience. They got my straightforward Americano order wrong, then brought the right one, but I didn’t like the taste. There were no food options or music, and the place had no vibe. There was a cat, at least, though it seemed as uninterested in the guests as the staff. I probably made a mistake coming here.

Coffee starts at 50thb for most options, and the prices are reasonable. The location is good, though seating is limited, with just a few tables where you can get some work done. As of January, 2023, construction right beside the cafe was making it really loud.

The pumpkin bread was delicious, and it had just come out of the oven when I ordered. I also tried the biscoff brownie. It was good, but the texture and taste were more like cake than a rich brownie.

I tried the iced mocha and Irish coffee, and both were very good. I think the two drinks and an iced latte came to 270. The latte and mocha were about 65 each.

I was waiting for my hostel check-in, so I ordered breakfast here. The coffee was medium roast, and both drinks were really good. The Caffè latte was a little bitter and creamy, while the americano had a slight sour-bitter taste. The butter croissant was good, and the healthy banana cake was soft, with sweetness from the raisins. It was my first time in chiangmai, and I was glad to find affordable coffee at Ray Coffee.
