The room was decent, though small, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect if you’re near Chiang Mai University. The big problem was the WiFi. It didn’t work at all, and none of my devices could connect. It looks like it could be a gateway issue or a maxed-out MAC address limit.

I came back to Xiong Mao Tai Mala with relatives to eat my favorite mala again. This time I tried the spiciest one they serve.

Scam. They manipulated the paperwork and said we’d left a much smaller deposit than we actually did!!

The hotel is large, but there are shops out front and lots of cars parked there, so it feels quite chaotic. The room was stuffy and smelled bad, and the staff weren’t welcoming.
