The owners at Sukhothai House were kind, friendly and helpful, and my room was spacious and so clean. The bed was super comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and there was a fridge and kettle. I was taking a course nearby at Sunshine massage school, so the location suited me well. There's also a big shopping center close by, or you can take a lovely walk into the old town. I'd stayed at other hotels in the area before, but after this stay at Sukhothai I immediately booked for my next trip. Highly recommended 🥰

Juan, the proprietor, is one of the most amazing women I've ever met. She's welcoming, helpful, and always finding a reason to laugh and enjoy herself, even while looking after an extended family. The guest house has a homely feel, with a beautiful, secluded, quiet garden. There are plenty of very local places to eat nearby and all the shopping one needs. You can get into town by red-taxi, public bus, or bicycle. What a wonderful stay. Thanks to the whole family for being awesome!

I chose this place because I needed somewhere nearby for the morning bus to Chiang Rai. Sukhotai House is about a 15 minute walk from the bus terminal and seemed one of the better options in a rough area. My second floor room was dirty: the walls had mosquito battle marks, blood and other strange stuff that could easily be washed off. The bathroom was moldy, and the AC smelled as if its filter hadn't been changed in ages, if ever. The street was quiet and had nice greenery around it, but the room wasn't clean. I'm sorry to leave negative feedback, but I rely on reviews and appreciate accurate information. If I were in the same situation again, I'd spend extra to stay in Chiang Mai Old town or nearby, where there are more decent options.

The owners were nice, and the place was very clean and quiet. I stayed here while studying Thai Massage at Sunshine School, just a five minute walk away. For such a non happening location, though, I thought it was a bit overpriced.

Room 104 was nice, the bed comfortable, and the garden beautiful. It was a quiet place away from the city, and I stayed while studying Thara Thaimassage, just a 10 minute walk away. The air conditioning worked very well against the outdoor heat and helped me relax in the room. The shower water was a little weak. Thank Mona.
