The London Tearoom

The British details throughout made this a cozy, authentic-feeling little spot for soaking up London vibes. Staying there brought back memories of my own student days in London, especially my old room. We had a small hot water problem on arrival, but it was fixed quickly and the service was great. I'd recommend it for a nostalgic British-inspired stay.

I've always found the owners and staff pleasant and accommodating when I've visited this wonderful little guest house in Chiang Mai. The attached restaurant has a cozy English/British feel, with old newspaper clippings, historical maps, and early 1900s England ads and posters. There's a large range of coffees and teas, plus breakfast for sale in the morning. The staff baker makes tasty cakes every day, including lemon drizzle, brownie chocolate cake, key lime pie, and Oreo coconut. I love spending time in the cozy front room or the reading area at the back, where the small guesthouse has an impressive library of self improvement, business leadership, and inspirational books. Wonderful experiences here.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very clean, and it's good value. This lovely guest house is near the Maya center, with several eateries an easy walk away. There's no elevator, so getting to a fourth-floor room is a bit of a hike. Staff speak nearly zero English, so there's a language barrier, but they're very helpful and give excellent service.

Tom, Wan and their staff were perfect hosts, and the hearty breakfast was a great start to each day. There was a light selection such as omelette, along with fresh fruit and toast, just right before walking around Chiang Mai and the Nimman area. Our rooms were clean and well air conditioned, with fresh linen and towels each day, plus free spring water and tea/coffee. We chose the property after careful thought for our first two weeks of February, drawn by its mix of value and quirkiness. We weren't disappointed. If we return to Chiang Mai, we'll do our best to stay again. The value for money is second to none. Thanks for making our holiday such a wonderful experience.
