Viengping Mansion

There are lots of blocks and rooms in the building. It has the basics for a self-contained stay: refrigerator, air conditioner, TV, WIFI, oven, tea kettle, nice beds and a washing room. Cleaning is fine, and there are self-operated washing machines on the ground floor too.

Maya Mall is only a 2-3min walk away, and the building is clean. Downstairs there are recycling bins and cheap laundry service. It wasn’t too noisy, we only noticed light road noise and no construction sounds. The Wi-Fi is good, too.

Our room had been updated and felt modern, though the mountain view was through the bathroom window. The building itself is old and rundown, and many of the pictures seem photoshopped. The pool didn't look anything like the photos: it was a cement slab with a few chairs and dirty, cloudy green water. They charge an extra 50 baht to use it, which didn't seem like a good bet. Adequate, but not especially good.

There’s no gym or pool in the apartment building, and construction was loud. I was on the 14th floor, but water still came up on my balcony, and there was a lot of plasterworm infestation. The worst part for me was the stairs: I like taking them, but someone’s dog pooped there every day, and one day I stepped in it.
