It’s a clean, new hotel with very good value for money. Every room comes with hot water, air conditioning, and a TV. There are branches in many provinces, and members can book easily without paying in advance.

A dependable, affordable budget chain where you can expect a standard room, good service, and a convenient location. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There’s no breakfast, but plenty of good local cafes and restaurants nearby for the morning.

There are lots of places to eat nearby, and the location makes it easy to explore the city. The room was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable.

The main road facing rooms can be quite noisy, so keep that in mind. The front desk was fine, and the rooms and furnishings matched what I’ve seen at other Hop Inns, but this stay didn’t live up to the chain’s “consistency” claim. Our room was clean apart from a strong moldy smell, enough to set off my allergies. We opened the doors to air it out, but the smell remained. Another guest mentioned the same problem. I don’t know whether every room is like that, so check yours before settling in. I mentioned it in the survey Hop Inn sent me, but never got a reply.

Hop Inn Chiang Rai Clock Tower is just steps from the iconic Clock Tower, a great location. We found the room simple, clean, and comfortable for a short stay. Check-in was quick, the staff were friendly, and it was good value for the money.
