M Power Chiangrai

A calm place to stay in Chiang Rai, with a nice spot to sleep.

For 450 baht a night including breakfast, the quality is well above the price. The room is small, but works fine for a short sleep or a business trip. The bathroom is compact but functional, and the air conditioning, TV, and hot water all worked well. There's also a mini-fridge, and you can borrow bicycles to shop at the street corner. The staff are friendly. The bed isn't especially soft, but I slept comfortably without a sore back 😂. For this price, it's more than worth it.

The breakfast was a real highlight, with rice porridge, stir-fried noodles, Khanom Jeen, different curries, tea and coffee, all very tasty. The rooms are clean and good value for a few hundred baht. You're right in the city, just a short walk down an alley, with shops by the entrance. The owner is especially kind and beautiful.

We arrived alongside several tour groups and there wasn't much parking available. In the morning there was no running water, and the room hadn't been cleaned properly. Food left by previous guests was still there too.
