Baan Soontree Resort

It’s a spacious, comfortable place with a pleasant, welcoming feel, and good value for the money. The location is the main drawback if you want to be right in the city center.

The grounds are beautiful, peaceful and green, and the traditional wooden rooms had air conditioning that worked properly. The hotel is well known to drivers as the old one, which made things easier for us a few times. The staff were helpful, and the linen was clean with towels changed daily. On arrival, the bathroom wasn't clean. Aside from the toilet, the rest of it wasn't cleaned at all during our four-night stay. Even with that downside, we would stay here again :)

The staff were very friendly, and the room was big, clean and comfortable. It’s a decent place for a couple of nights in a quiet neighbourhood, though the center is a bit of a walk. Reception can call a tuk tuk into town for 80-100 baht. The pool was alright and breakfast basic. There aren't many TV channels, and lunch and dinner aren't available.

There’s a garden that gives good protection from the sun, and the area is calm. It’s a nice place, but a bit of a walk from the city centre. The equipment looks quite old, including the old-style electrical sockets that don't hold plugs properly. It wasn't bad, but with the distance and the dated equipment, I expected a lower price.
