Ramida Host

The room upstairs was really big, clean, and comfortable, and I especially liked how spotless the bathroom was. Everyone working there was extremely friendly. There was lots of space in the parking area and an open garden with several places to sit. The front office was large, and they let us leave our luggage there. We also got free drinks, including coffee. The place felt cool and pleasant, and the location was very convenient. I was so happy staying here! 😍

We rented a motorbike nearby for just 250 baht for 24 hours. There are food stalls and a 7-Eleven close by, and the hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the bus station from Chiang Mai, which was really convenient. Since it's a new hotel, the room was very clean. I'd definitely recommend it.

We felt unsafe and left immediately, deeply shaken by the experience. After we politely asked to cancel, the owner refused, saying we'd “used the facilities.” All we had done was lift the toilet lid to clean it ourselves because it was dirty when we arrived. We called Agoda for help, and the owner made false claims to them too. She was very rude, then called her family, and the interaction quickly felt aggressive and intimidating. The room was small, old, and poorly maintained, nothing like the online photos or the advertised three-star standard. There was nowhere to sit. It felt more like a private house than a hotel. This was by far our most disappointing experience while travelling in Thailand. We can't recommend the place at all. Do yourself a favour and avoid it.

We felt unsafe and unwelcome, treated like a source of money instead of guests. When we tried to talk with the hosting family, they acted as if they didn't know English. We'd travelled in Thailand for three months and had never had an experience like this. This isn't how hospitality should be. Avoid this place. The room was much smaller than the photos suggested, outdated and poorly maintained, with no sofa despite it being advertised. The toilet was wet and didn't look clean, and the lobby was uncomfortable and full of mosquitoes. We politely asked to cancel, but they demanded payment for one night. When we went upstairs to take photos, the hosting family followed us to the room in an intimidating way and told us to leave. They also told Agoda customer service that we'd arrived early, which wasn't true. We'd booked and arrived about an hour before we decided to leave.
