The local shops are handy, and while the area isn’t as busy as other places we stayed, the location works well. Dada rents out scooters. They’re a bit older, but did the job for pretty much any trip we had in mind. We had a great stay at Winter house. Dada is a wonderful host, and her warm personality comes through as soon as you arrive. Thanks again for the hospitality, Dada, and all the best for what’s ahead!🍀 PS: Try the Pad Thai. It was one of the best we had anywhere around Thailand.

Dada and her husband were very helpful. They arranged an airport transfer for us at an affordable price. The house is well maintained, with a lovely garden and lots of rooms. We liked a lot about this place. Very nice.

Dada made me very uncomfortable with how pushy and bossy she was. At check-in, she spent an hour trying to upsell me. She insisted that I order pad Thai and eat at a set time. I agreed to 7:00-7:30 PM, but she didn’t start cooking until 8:30 PM. I felt like I lost hours there because she kept me hostage. While she was cooking, I went out to get a drink. When I came back, she was cussing and yelling in Thai because I’d gone to buy a beverage and it wasn’t “warm” anymore. I found her controlling and self-absorbed. Please give guests their freedom and listen to them instead of being so demanding. I won’t return.

The tents are great and the location is good. Dada is really pushy about her pad thai, so just ignore her and you’ll be fine.

There are different options here: rooms with a fan, air-conditioned rooms, and tents. The rates are good, the place is very clean, and they rent scooters at a really good price. The owners are kind and helpful, and treat customers like family. Dada especially makes you feel welcome and at home while you’re staying. The location is great, with lots of food stalls and a local market nearby, along with Lotus and 7/11. I recommend Winter House Chiang Rai to everyone 💯✅❤️
