The masaman was very good, and I liked having free wifi and fans to keep cool. But they shouldn't bring things we didn't order. I asked for a large Chang at 85 Baht and a masaman curry at 90 Baht. It arrived with rice, which I hadn't requested, so I thought it was included. Then they said the bill was 190. I pointed out that 90 + 85 = 175 Baht, and they insisted rice wasn't included. I never ordered it. They finally agreed to 175, then short changed me by 5 Baht. Rice only costs 10 to 15 Baht, and I wouldn't mind if they'd asked first. I don't like feeling someone is trying to rip me off. Please ask upfront next time. I would have given you 4 stars.

The location is great, not far from the trainstation, malls, and markets. Staff are super friendly, and for an excellent price, this is the best place to eat and sleep in Chumphon.

On a short stopover in Chumphon, I had a lovely meal here. The red curry was so tasty, I had a couple of beers, and the service was friendly. Lovely place.

They've reopened under "new" management, with one of the workers now the owner. The previous owner got sick, so the place was closed for a few months. The food is great and the location is really convenient. The phone number has been updated, and the name has changed slightly.

Farang Bar had everything I needed and then some. Clean and cheap, with a great Massaman Curry and cold beer that hit the spot. The shower got me clean, and the bedroom stayed cool without AC. Staff and other expats drinking there gave me a wealth of information, and they even arranged my bus and boat for the next day. Thanks, folks.
