Ben, the manager and owner, was friendly and very helpful. There’s a lovely large, clean room with a comfy bed, AC and a small porch for sitting outside, all at a fantastic price. We ate at the best local restaurant opposite every day, trying a different dish each night. The associated DIVE resort is no longer based here, though the slow overnight boat to Koh Tao is a stone’s throw away. This is a good choice if you need the ferry or want somewhere quieter outside town. It’s 15 minutes from town by car or bike, so you’ll need transport. Pick up snacks on the way, as there really isn’t much nearby. Thanks, Ben :D

Basic but clean, and very good value. A lovely, helpful guy picked us up from the airport and dropped us at the ferry port. There’s a nice local restaurant across the road, and a little coffee shop up the road where we had breakfast. Our host also took us to the mountain viewpoint.

The room and bed were comfortable, and the property was quiet and pleasant. I stayed one night after running out of space on the night ferry to Koh Tao, and it’s right next to the ferry pier. Ben, the owner, was kind and offered me a ride to the centre in the morning. We got along well, and he showed me a lot of cool places and explained what we were seeing and eating, along with interesting things about Thai culture and society. I work as a Trip Leader in tourism, and told him how authentic and nice his tour was. I encouraged him to organize day trips around his place. If he starts offering them, I’d highly recommend one as an authentic experience. Thank you Ben!

Found this little gem on Google maps late at night while driving up to Bangkok. I’d arrived late and only needed somewhere to sleep. The place was cozy and clean, and the staff were very nice.
