The owner even drove me to look for a friend who had become a Buddhist monk in the forest. He is at Wat Somdet if anyone wants to visit him. I was so grateful for that help, and for getting checked in at a good price after arriving by bus at 2am with no plan or place to stay 🤣. The rooms are basic, clean, welcoming, and adequate. They also offered laundry and coffee. It was a lovely last-minute stay.

The chicken steak was juicy and cooked just right, with fries and a slice of toast, for 79 baht. We also enjoyed the 60-baht Caesar salad, a decent size with onion, bacon, Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, croutons, and dressing, though it isn't always available. The spaghetti with tomato sauce was tasty too, also 60 baht. There are some cheaper Thai dishes on the menu as well.

A lovely spot for a laid-back weekend in Dan Sai. Dan Sai Resort is the same as Ban Paja Resort.
