The reception ladies were cheerful and helpful, and the room was clean and freshly renovated. For an older place, Happy Beach Jomtien is a good find, close to the beach and closer to Pattaya than most of Jomtien these days. The bathroom was tiny, really tiny, and there were a few small ants. I’d stay again, unlike the other hotel with a very similar name about 2kms further South.

I really enjoyed the Thai dishes, and the restaurant serves local food as well as options for westerners. The rooms are nice and the location is great. They’ve earned my repeat business, so I’ll be back.

The rooms are okay and the staff are okay too. If you rent a motorbike from the hotel, take a video of it before you hire it. They tried to scam my 2000 baht deposit.
