The owner deserves credit for the charming apartments and the way she manages the place. It’s a growing housing development with rooms, bungalows, shared kitchens, and two cute little cafes at a fair price. Long-term rent is a very good deal, though you’ll need to allow for some annoying neighbors.

Aoy is a kind and helpful owner, and the staff at the coffee shop and bistro are very professional. The bistro has a fresh, youthful design, and its organic food feels like fine dining. Our little wooden bungalow by the lake stayed cool, and I could enjoy the breezy terrace whenever I wanted. You can rent a bicycle and ride to the nearby villages, swimming pools, farmer markets, and the temple on the hill of Doi Saket. The rooms are clean, and there’s very good food and drink at the bistro and the coffee shop of Ban Thassanee, as well as other places to eat nearby. There’s a shared kitchen, and the rooms also have a fridge.

The price felt reasonable, and the room was clean and peaceful, with a comfortable amount of space. The staff were very accommodating, including when I asked to check out later than planned.
