We were there for one night in March 2018 before the morning ferry to Koh Phangan. The resort was empty, so they let us have a spacious renovated bungalow for 700 baht. It normally costs 1,000 baht, while most of the smaller, dated bungalows go for 500. Our room had a big balcony and a beautiful mountain view. The bathroom was huge, though the water pressure was weak, and the Wi-Fi came and went. Peacocks and roosters wandered around freely, bats swarmed in the evenings, and from the balcony we spotted a large monitor lizard in the distance. The place had a lot of atmosphere and I really liked it, but my wife wasn’t as keen.

A quiet, pleasant place where you can sleep comfortably with cool air conditioning. There’s no breakfast, and the price should be no more than 600 baht.
