Grace Hotel Bangkok

I wouldn’t recommend this place for women traveling alone. The rooms didn’t feel cozy, and the staff weren’t very friendly. There were lots of workers waiting outside for customers, which made the entrance area feel uncomfortable. If you don’t understand Arabic, even basic things like the TV and room setup can be hard to sort out.

The room looked okay, had a beautiful pool view, and was cleaned every day. But there were cockroaches in the bathroom, and it felt too expensive for what it offered. Two speakers outside the hotel played Islamic music at night. I’m giving it two stars and don’t recommend it.

The rooms are spacious and practical, with basic amenities that work for budget travelers. The hotel is clean and comfortable, though its facilities show their age. It’s well placed near Nana’s nightlife, restaurants, and shops, and the service was friendly and efficient. Grace Hotel has an old-school charm and a nostalgic feel that longtime visitors who know its history may appreciate. A central, affordable choice with some Bangkok character.

This hotel is part of our childhood, full of memories and stories. We feel it’s in our blood and nerves. On this honeymoon visit, we stayed on the right side from reception, on the second floor. At bedtime I heard someone working in the attached room next door, breaking something with a hammer. I called reception with a headache and still half in a dream, but they did nothing until 2 a.m. In the morning, the counter staff said they couldn’t help because there were bowling games and snooker for visitors on the exact ground floor below my room, and no other room to move us to. We put up with it for all five nights. All the room toilets have Muslim showers for washing, but the toilets in the waiting area in the lobby don’t. I’m asking the owners and staff to add Muslim showers there. Also, please put steps at the hotel entrance. The slide is tough for older people to use. Thank you.
