We’ll be back! The nearby restaurants have tasty food and lovely views, and Bulun Buri Resort was the standout of another great trip around Chiang Mai. Set in the peaceful Baan Dong valley, it was just the kind of calm place we wanted.

You’re about an hour’s drive from Chiang Mai, surrounded by beautiful scenery, with very little to do nearby. Still, spending a day or two relaxing in the hotel’s nicely decorated hang-out is plenty. It’s a rustic, quiet spot for anyone after a countryside feel and incredible views. The staff are friendly, though the pool has been out of order for a while and there are other small things to complain about if you’re inclined.

I’ve stayed here three times and loved it every time. It’s my favorite Chiangmai resort when I want quiet, beauty, and good value. Manager Patcharin is great and speaks perfect English. You can camp if you bring your own tent, and the two dogs are awesome.

I came in Jan 2022 for a few days of relaxing. It was really mellow, with hardly any tourists and not much going on, which suited me fine. Such a beautiful, rustic and quaint place, and the staff were very nice. Highly recommend it.
