Hatyai Paradise Hotel

The room was spacious and clean, and the pool area was pleasant. The price was good too, but those positives didn't make up for the rest. There's little worth seeing nearby, so we had to take taxis everywhere. Staff weren't particularly welcoming or helpful, and the WiFi was terrible. The walls are so thin that neighbours shouting in their rooms and the hallways woke us at 5:30 every morning. It's also supposed to be non-smoking, but neighbours smoked and the hotel seemed to ignore it. I didn't enjoy the stay and can't recommend this hotel.

We paid 990 baht a night, and the breakfast was great for that price. The hotel is a large place with some greenery in the courtyard, which was nice for a morning walk. The pool is huge, and the room was spacious with basic amenities, two showers and a bathtub. It is quite far from the city center and set a little way down the Soi, but getting there by car is fine. Parking outside is limited. There are 20 rooms on each floor and two old lifts.

The breakfast was decent and halal. There was bread with butter and jam, along with other typical Thai breakfast choices. I especially liked the delicious creamy yellow noodles. Although this isn't a new hotel, the service was good and the staff were helpful, speaking basic Malay and English. The security guard was also very helpful in showing us the basement parking. We had a good stay.

There was a good variety of food at breakfast, and it was halal. The room was okay, the pool was available, and the view from the 7th floor was nice. The hotel is quite far from night spots like Lee Garden and Asean Bazaar, so we had to use Grab or Maxim. Still, I was satisfied overall.
