The staff at Klongrien Hotel were incredibly kind and helpful through a difficult flood. They even waded through strong floodwater to get food supplies for guests, and once the power went out they stopped charging us for our stay. They also set up a gas stove so we could boil water and make simple meals. My friend and I arrived in Hatyai on 21/11/25 and had first checked into another hotel. We got caught in the flood while going out for food and couldn’t get back, until a kind Thai local brought us to Klongrien Hotel that night. The electricity went out on 24/11/25 and stayed off until we checked out on 27/11/25. Our car in the hotel parking area was completely flooded too. This hotel went above and beyond for us. It’s one of the best, especially for Malaysians visiting Hatyai, and we highly recommend it.

The staff were friendly, always smiling, and very helpful, and the room was clean with modern decor. I stayed for three days and two nights. It’s in the city, close to 7-Eleven and C Mart, with a row of halal food shops right in front. There’s plenty of parking for cars and motorcycles, plus a self-service car wash behind the hotel. Great value for the low price, highly recommended.

The location is convenient for walking around, and there’s a convenience store right across from the hotel. Rooms and showers are clean and spacious, and the water heater works well. Service is great and housekeeping is available. If toiletries are missing, just ask at the front desk. They don’t provide toothbrushes, though. The Wi-Fi is slow, there’s no room phone to reach reception, and the room has a mini fridge but no kettle. Still, I was satisfied.

The room was okay, and I was surprised to find it tidy when I came back from visiting the viral place, even though I hadn’t asked for cleaning. The air conditioner was unsettling, though, with a disturbing noise.
