PS Thungsao Hotel

My twin room was spacious and clean, and there was parking available. The hotel is near shopping areas and attractions, yet nights were quiet, with no traffic or nightlife noise. Staff were friendly and ready to help with requests. They don’t put irons in the rooms, but there are irons in the lobby, which was handy enough. I had a pleasant stay at PS Thungsao on my recent trip to Hatyai and would happily come back. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting.

Both times I stayed here, something disturbed the room, and Reception didn’t help. On one visit, strong cigarette smoke got in through the gap under the door from the connected room. We ended up knocking and asking the guests not to smoke inside. Another time, people in the next room were talking very loudly until almost 1 am, so we had to sleep with AirPods on. I contacted Reception about both problems, but they either did nothing or seemed afraid to speak to the other guests. I hope staff take these issues more seriously.

The staff are friendly, and the room is large, very clean, and still looks new. It’s quite a way from the city, though you can walk there in around 20 minutes. If you want a quiet place, this hotel could suit you.

We stayed 5 nights and didn’t get any housekeeping. Smoke came into our downstairs room, and after breathing the polluted air, both of us got sick with sore throats and coughs. The receptionist said smoking was allowed on the balcony. There’s also a rm50 deposit, but they gave us no receipt. The train crossing was very loud, with its horn. They had coffee and snacks in the morning, but nobody told us. We only found out on our last day. The snacks were cheap cakes, so it felt like they were afraid guests would finish all the coffee and snacks.
