PS23 Residence

The inn is in a shop lot, and the entrance is a walk-up with two floors, so be ready to carry your bags upstairs. It doesn’t have a hotel-style entrance. Inside, it looks fresh, clean, nicely decorated, and I think it’s still new. The room is simple but nice, with a small fridge, hot jug, mugs, coffee sachets, and complimentary mineral water. The toilet was clean and had hot water, and the TV had lots of channels, including Netflix. Don’t be put off by the surroundings. It’s near the market, about 300m away, with a Watson n 7-11 shop nearby.

Affordable and comfortable, with an amazing room. The two staff were incredibly accommodating and polite, truly amazing service. God bless thai people 🙏🏼

The location was a real problem for us. It was difficult to get on and off the van, and the rain that morning made it worse. One room’s air conditioner dripped water all night. There was no room service after 7 pm until the next morning. When we entered, the bathroom smelled bad, and the toilet rolls were soiled but left out for guests. My husband, worried about bacteria, bought antibacterial spray from Watson next door. We sprayed a few times, but the stench stayed, so it felt like a waste of money. This was the worst hotel room I’ve stayed in during my travels. I guess we shouldn’t put too much faith in all those good reviews.

I stayed 3D & 2N, and the room was okay, but the make-up-room card didn’t seem to get any result. I hung it on the door handle on the second morning, then came back to find nothing had changed. I’d hoped the comforter and towels would be replaced for night two, but they were the same ones. The bathroom had a damp smell at check-in that gradually went away once the ventilator was on. Body soap and shampoo are provided, and I liked having a pipe bidet, but the toilet needed two flushes after a poo 🥲. The toilet paper was damp, too. Irons and hair dryers are available upon request. The TV has Netflix and YouTube, and Netflix is free through the hotel service, no need to log into your own account. It took me a few minutes to find the entrance. The door is marked with the name of a cafe (Hotel's cafe) and leads to the front desk. Watsons is right beside it. My ratings: room 3/5, bathroom 3/5, amenities 2/5, location 3/5, overall 3/5.
