Whenever I come to Hatyai, I stay here. It's easy on the budget and very conveniently located near Lee Garden.

The receptionist was friendly and could speak Malay. I found the room pretty average, but for a cheap stay it was comfortable enough, with a working toilet, bed, and air conditioner. Kim Yong Market is just a two-minute walk and Lee Garden takes about five. There's no elevator, but the stairs are wide and felt easy to manage since I was on the second floor. Traveling alone, I found the atmosphere a little eerie, though I didn't mind the noise at this low-budget hotel, and it was Songkran anyway. If you need an inexpensive place to sleep, I'd recommend it.

For real local life, this place is worth considering: there's a night market and a 7-11 nearby. It's ridiculously affordable, with an authentic 70s interior, even tiles popping out of the walls, LOL. Whether you get air conditioning depends on your booking, and there are two really cute cats. One heads-up for light sleepers: rooms numbered x01/x02 are closest to the main road, so bring ear plugs. Party buses blast music at 4am. I actually found that pretty fun, so no complaints from me.

The price is very affordable, and it's a clean, pleasant place close to nearly everything in Hat Yai. There's no elevator, but the staff are really friendly.

My room was on the fourth floor and had a fan but no AC. It stayed reasonably cool, and the fan worked well. The bedsheets were clean, though the bathroom could use renovation. There was a TV I didn't care much about. I'd have preferred a small table for my laptop.
