I messed up and paid 700 baht for a refrigerator. The air conditioner wasn’t cooling, and there was no remote. I told the owner, who gave me a remote and said I could set the temperature how I liked. An hour later it still wasn’t cool, so I called the housekeeper to check. She confirmed the AC wasn’t cooling and suggested I move rooms. Thanks to the housekeeper for saving the day!

We were welcomed well, and the room was clean and smelled nice. The short stay cost 300 baht. We checked in at 11:40 AM and were meant to leave at 1:40 PM, just two hours later. As long-distance travelers, we slept soundly and thought we’d get three hours, so we set an alarm for 2:40 PM. The water wasn’t hot. While we were unpacking and washing up, the housekeeper kept banging loudly on the door, as if she didn’t care about the customers or give us any time to unpack. It was a really unpleasant experience.

The AC was freezing, but there was no remote to change the temperature. The water wasn’t warm, we got just one bar of soap for two people, and the blanket looked like it cost 99 baht. They also provided only two small bottles of water.
