I last stayed at the Verona in 2017, and this was my second visit. The apartment was fairly good, and the staff were excellent, friendly, and helpful. There are some excellent restaurants within walking distance, which is great. A few things need attention: the plastic flooring around the pool is lifting in places, the towels looked old, and there were rips in the bed sheets. There’s also loud music from a nearby bar until around midnight daily. That’s not the hotel’s fault, but light sleepers may be disturbed. The shoreline has degraded a lot since my previous visit, also through no fault of the hotel. There was sharp broken glass all along the beach. I picked up more than a dozen pieces while walking close to children playing. I wouldn’t recommend swimming in the sea. It’s a real shame, and it would be nice if the hotels and restaurants along the shore joined together to clean the surrounding area.

The water was too high for us to reach the beach, perhaps because of the tide or the season, though the property does extend right to it. We had a very pleasant stay in a lovely three-bedroom pool villa, with the pool just outside the front door. Wifi was reasonably fast, and it seems perfect for families.

We got a welcome drink on arrival, which most hotels usually don’t offer, and the food around the hotel was good. The room had a living area and two bedrooms, and came with stunning views. Service was great too. It was certainly worth it, and this really good hotel deserves more recognition.

We stayed in a spacious, clean two-bedroom suite with an ocean view and plenty of room in the living area. Breakfast was quite limited, though you can order nice, hot breakfast sets and coffee prepared how you like it. The staff were friendly and nice.

The poolside villas made it a great fit for our honeymoon, and the hotel has a lovely garden with sea views. Its canal-shaped swimming pool was another nice feature. This boutique hotel has an Italian touch, from the plush white marble lobby to the deep contemporary sofas, which reminded us of Rimini or Portofino. Service is among the best in town. We had a great stay in a great location, right on the beach and close to everything.
