Mina Pool Villa

We liked the idea of a group pool villa near Jomtien Beach, but the beach was farther away than the listing led us to expect. The house felt small for the advertised 12-15 people, and better suited to a smaller party. Its only indoor gathering spot was a little L-shaped sofa for about 3-4 people, so it was hard to sit together, especially when the heat made being outside uncomfortable. There were lots of mosquitoes, even indoors, and we found four cockroaches on one bed. The pool and slide worked, but maintenance was lacking: some bolts were loose, and the chlorine smell was very strong despite the listing calling it saltwater. We had planned to cook together, but the pans were too old to use. The owner responded quickly and brought a new one. There are four bedrooms, though one seemed to be a kitchen converted into a room, with two beds squeezed into a very tight space that didn't feel like a proper bedroom. For the price, a hotel might be more comfortable and have better facilities. The property needs considerable improvement in space, cleanliness, and upkeep.

The pool was a highlight, and the quiet, peaceful location made this feel like a home away from home. Everything was clean, nicely decorated, and had what I needed for a comfortable stay. The host was welcoming and quick to respond throughout my visit. I had a great experience here, and would gladly stay again or recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
