The quiet soi made it easy to rest, and the beach is within walking distance. It’s a great place if you don’t need a pool or an elevator, and I’ll book here again on my next trip to Phuket. The hotel is very well designed, and everything around the property was well maintained and super clean, not just my spacious, comfortable room. The people managing it made sure I had what I needed whenever I ran into them, and emailed to say I could reach out if anything came up. I felt very looked after. I wasn’t sure I’d arrive before check-in, so I emailed ahead. They replied right away with instructions on where to find my room key if I was late. Luckily I got there on time, and check-in was super fast. They showed me around, then I could finally get to my room after a very long day.

PS, we didn’t stay here. We tried the vegetarian food, which was awesome, but the portions were just enough for one person, making it far too expensive by the time the bill arrived. This review is about the small convenience store on the property. The prices are exorbitant. They seem to know there are few nearby convenience stores like 7/11 and have marked things up by around 300%. A one-liter bottle of water costs 60 THB, nine slices of white bread cost 90 THB, and a butter singlet is 25 THB. Cards are accepted only for purchases above 300THB, so otherwise you need cash. The sales ladies either don’t understand your language or pretend not to when you raise a problem. They have a strict no-return, no-exchange policy. When you’re paying through the nose, be very wary of buying from here.

The room was large and the bed comfortable. The rooftop bar was a particular favorite, and the Thai food was excellent. We stayed over Christmas and New Year, and it was a perfect base for seeing Kamala and the many excellent sites around.

A cozy, pleasant place, with large clean rooms and a balcony looking out over trees and hills. It was lovely chatting with the owners, who are always ready to help. Hope I can come back 🙂
