Zenmaya Oceanfront Phuket, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

It was our first trip to Thailand, and we already know we’ll book here again. The service was wonderful from everyone we met, including the reception team, Gyp and Prim, and servers Mookmik and Koong. Everyone was kind, friendly, and helpful. The room was even better than the photos, with thoughtful touches like a small wall by the shower that kept the bathroom floor dry, plus a well-placed mirror and plug for doing my hair. And the view was unbeatable. Thank you to Zenmaya and the whole team for making our 10-year anniversary trip unforgettable. Much love from two very happy South Africans 🇿🇦

The room was beautiful, the food was excellent, and I really liked the hotel’s old-fashioned charm. Even so, the stay felt overpriced, and I’d only say I might come back. The pool in my villa had a full-on gecko party, which was unexpected and didn’t feel ideal for cleanliness. The reception staff were polite, though the welcome felt a bit cold. I’d booked the 29th by mistake instead of the 28th, and they weren’t flexible despite it being only a one-day difference. The room’s internet kept cutting out, and the outdated TV didn’t feel right for the price. It also wasn’t clear beforehand that the pool was shared, and even my neighbor wasn’t sure. The jacuzzi was dated and confusing to use, and it took me a while to work out how it operated. There’s a lot of potential here, but for this price I’d expect a more seamless, modern stay. Either adjusting the price or improving these areas would make a big difference.

Waking up to the ocean view each morning never got old, and Zenmaya Oceanfront had the calm, relaxed atmosphere we wanted. Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and had a lovely sea view. The infinity pool was a highlight, perfect for a swim or a few hours doing nothing. The staff were friendly and helpful without going overboard, check-in was smooth, and anything we needed was sorted quickly. The quiet location is away from the chaos but still close enough to Patong when you want to go out. Breakfast was good, and the view made it even better. We really enjoyed the stay and would definitely come back 😄😄😄
