Princess River Kwai

I’d rate it an 8.5 out of 10 if the scale went that high. We had clean, comfortable rooms and really nice, attentive staff. The location right by the river is great, and I’d come back.

You’ll need a taxi to get between the resort and town, usually B200-300, but it’s a lovely little find on the outskirts. The rooms are large, clean, and have big walk-in showers. Staff were happy to help with anything, and the restaurant had plenty of food choices. The breakfast buffet is a good start to the day. The pool was clean and shallow enough for children, though it could use parasols for shade. Enjoy! 😊

The coffee from the dedicated coffee shop was especially good, so give it a try. Breakfast also had a good mix of Thai and European food, and the staff were friendly and spoke English. The hotel was very clean, with a small pool that gives you an infinity view for photos. You can feed fish from the property, and there are bikes available, though we didn’t have time to ride them. It’s a bit far from the city, so having your own car is better. There’s parking, and I’d definitely visit again.

We had a lovely trip in a beautiful part of Thailand, and this hotel suited us perfectly for a quiet break. Our river-view room was worth choosing and very clean. The pool was lovely, if not very big, the grounds were beautifully kept, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and polite. Breakfast was very good, with a decent choice of Western and Thai food. On our first morning, I’m pretty sure we were the only two guests, though more people arrived over the next couple of days. We weren’t driving, but taxis to Kanchanaburi were reasonably priced. Ask reception and they’ll arrange one. English wasn’t widely spoken around the area, so knowing some Thai or having a Thai speaker with you would help.
