The River Kwai Bridge Resort 2

Breakfast stood out, with a nice range of fresh food that was regularly topped up, including local dishes and simple Western options. The pool looked nice, though I didn’t get to try it. The location is convenient, very near River Kwai train station and not too far from the main tourist spots. Room condition and facilities were acceptable, and I had no major problems. Some people might mix up River Kwai and River Kwai 2, but the hotel signs are clear, so just follow the booking and signage. It’s a comfortable, practical place to stay in Kanchanaburi. The thing I hated was that nobody helped with our luggage. They clearly have an electric scooter for that, but we had to struggle with it ourselves.

The hotel grounds reach the riverbank, where you can sit and see the Bridge. It’s a nice place for a cool beer in the evening. I was there during the big annual son et lumiere and saw the fireworks and other activity. The staff were efficient, friendly, and helpful, and the hotel is very close to the famous Bridge. I got a great last-minute deal on Agoda. I stayed two nights in a bungalow and three in a room. Both had good-quality bedding, towels, and fittings throughout. The bungalows are spacious and well equipped, but the windows are small, which is a shame. They do have a nice little balcony. I preferred the rooms, with full-width patio-style doors that let in lots of light and open onto a wide balcony. I really like this hotel, have stayed before, and would certainly recommend it.

The small pool was still really nice and refreshing, and the room was spotless with all the basic amenities. The hotel was clean and well maintained. In the lobby, you can buy drinks, snacks, and ice cream at reasonable prices. They also offer complimentary coffee and hot chocolate around the clock, plus laundry at a fair price with a very fast, two-hour turnaround. We stayed one night at the River Kwai Bridge Resort. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, and welcomed us warmly even though we arrived around 11 pm. They even arranged a massage in our room at midnight, which was a lovely surprise. Comfortable, convenient, and excellent value, with great service.

Such a lovely place, almost too good to be true. On weekend evenings, party boats make a lot of noise, with music coming from across the river. All the riverside hotels deal with this. Meanwhile, the destruction of nature on the other side of the river is still ongoing.
