The location is hard to beat, and we had a 30% sea view from the balcony. It was very clean and close to local food and entertainment. Still, the rooms are cash only. The twin beds were hard, with just one pillow, and traffic made it a bit noisy. During the day the light was bright, and at night the street lights came through. What mattered most to us was value. A modest room like this in Thailand should normally be about 400 THB. We expected some markup for the good location, but they charge 2000 THB a night in high season and 1000 THB in low season. The low-season rate should be the price all year. If they’re going to charge 5x that usual amount, they should add basic comforts like two pillows per bed, an option for a queen bed, and retractable balcony blinds. The service was the worst part. These people seemed nasty and entitled, and interested only in profit. My brother and his two young kids came up to get out of the sun, and they shouted at the children. Then they yelled at my brother’s wife and threatened to call the police. On Christmas, they shouted at kids and insulted my family. They judged his Asian wife for having a tattoo and treated her like a bar girl. It was very embarrassing. These greedy, entitled people don’t deserve your business, but if you must stay, be warned.
