When I later walked past that evening, none of the lights were on. The place seemed run down and shut, and I don’t believe it was operating as a hotel. My experience made me feel the check-in process was set up to let them confirm a booking, then cancel after a guest arrived, when the app already showed the guest as checked in. I believe they intended to scam me. Before that, getting in touch to arrange the required key pickup was already difficult. There’s no reception and the property was unmanned. They eventually confirmed my booking, so I could no longer cancel. I’d traveled from Krabi to Phuket with a large backpack during high season, when everything was booked up, which made what happened especially serious. At the hotel, parts of the building had no electricity or water. The pool was filthy and green, with the water only about halfway up. I finally reached the woman managing the place by message. She was very rude and didn’t speak English. At 11 a.m., her husband was lying in the dirty pool in white, transparent underwear that exposed everything, drinking beer and already drunk. He offered to drive me to 7-Eleven because my room wasn’t ready. I thought he was being kind, but after dropping me off, he drove away, apparently assuming I wouldn’t find my way back. I walked back in shock, unsure what was happening, and found the hotel completely empty. Then I got a message saying they had to cancel my room for “security reasons.” Hotels.com already showed me as checked in, so I couldn’t get a refund. I couldn’t reach anyone and was left with my backpack and nowhere to stay. Nearby places were fully booked; the only rooms available were at five-star hotels I couldn’t afford and didn’t want to pay for then. Luckily, a nearby dive center let me share a room with its staff, so I had a bed for the night. This was disgusting and unacceptable behavior. I strongly warn people against staying here.

The room was dirty, with rubbish still in the bin, and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. I also saw a Thai authorities’ condemnation notice saying the hotel was dangerous above a certain floor. The elevator wasn’t working, and my room was on the fourth floor. There was no reception when I arrived to check in. A man spent about 15 minutes calling someone to confirm my Agoda booking. Since I didn’t feel safe staying somewhere that seemed dangerous and wasn’t as advertised, I asked Agoda for a refund. They said they’d contact the property owner. Forty-eight hours later, Agoda told me the owner hadn’t replied, so I couldn’t get my money back for the two rooms I’d booked. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel or Agoda.

The breakfast was yummy, and the staff were accommodating. The hotel was very clean and well looked after, and I felt comfortable throughout my stay. It’s in a great spot too, about a 3-minute drive from Kata beach. I’d recommend it to friends and family.

Having a pool and sauna on site made it easy to unwind in the afternoons. The studio apartment was spacious and open plan, with room to cook, relax, and rest. RoomQuest staff were really friendly and accommodating. I’d highly recommend it.

The linens, towels, bin bags, toilet paper, shampoo, and shower gel were fresh and available from the chaplain. To get the room Wi-Fi, you have to find the password printed in small type on a sticker on the router. It feels like this was once a luxury hotel, but now they just rent out rooms. There’s no reception, only a supposed “online check-in,” and we couldn’t reach anyone on WhatsApp. We got lucky when the chaplain came out and gave us the key. She was in a small room at the back of the parking lot, on the right. Other reviews are right about the rust everywhere, and the elevator doesn’t work.
