Paradee Place @ Dcondo Kathu

You might consider this place only if the price is very low and you have nowhere else to go. The room also has tiny insects that look like little cockroaches. I've killed around eight, but more keep appearing. Noise and crowding are constant problems. There is almost always construction somewhere. The apartment next door was renovated for a whole month, and the administration refused to help, saying renovations are allowed. Drilling from morning until evening every day was a nightmare. Work at the neighboring building is quieter, but still clearly audible inside. Workers also trim and clear bushes right under the windows, making it hard to relax or work from home. The uncovered motorbike parking is often full. Bushes and trees planted in the parking area mean birds leave droppings on my bike, and trimming the bushes sends dust and debris onto the bikes. The office key card often stops working. Several times I was locked out of the common area and even my own room, and had to use the back entrance to get to my home. That's extremely frustrating and shows poor management. If you can choose somewhere else, I strongly recommend doing that.

I was stuck here from November until the end of April 2026, and it was the worst experience of my life. The place looks pathetic from the outside and urgently needs renovation. Staff at the jurisdiction office were terrible and unfriendly. Stay away.

A great place to stay. Bring a scooty, and there's a grocery shop nearby.

A nice condominium complex in Kathu, with local restaurants all around. Town is fairly close, and Patong is about 15 minutes away by motorbike.
