Hotel Villa Aokhanom Beachfront

We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived, and the staff and manager were always happy to help. They even decorated our bed for my partner's birthday, which made the stay feel extra special. Our family room was spacious, spotless, and well maintained, with a very comfortable bed. The large bathtub on the balcony was a lovely extra, and we enjoyed a glass of wine there. Waking up to the sound of the sea was great, and the beach is right outside, with easy access to everything we needed. The pool area, facilities, and thoughtful touches all made it easy to relax. Everything exceeded what we expected, and we'd definitely come back for another beachfront stay.

The General Manager, Bruce, came by to say goodbye, and we felt well looked after throughout our stay. My girlfriend and I spent Valentine's Day here, and the hotel had decorated our bed with roses, which made it feel extra special. The service was outstanding. Highly recommended.

The woman working there was friendly and helpful, and the service was great. But the bathroom smell was a real problem during our two-night stay in a first-floor room. The toilet already smelled before we used it, as if it might be clogged, then got worse after flushing and especially at night. It lingered all night, so we had to keep the bathroom door shut. I suspect the toilet is old. It was late, so we didn't want to complain. We booked because of the good Google reviews, but at $270, around 8,000 baht, I don't think the room was worth the price. Breakfast wasn't included either.

The beachfront villa itself was very nice, but the rest of the property was poorly maintained. The restaurant, staff, and pool area fell well short of the description, and the internet was extremely poor. None of the staff spoke English, so we had to keep using our phones to translate into Thai. We were very disappointed with the stay. This place isn't luxury, and I can't recommend the hotel.
