The Proud Green Garden Hill Resort

The staff made our stay, they were helpful and very friendly, and breakfast can be brought to your room each morning or had at the dining area up by reception. This little hillside hotel has quaint bungalow-style rooms with nice furnishings and big balconies overlooking amazing scenery. The rooms are on the small side but comfortable and have what you need. There are cheaper and easier-to-access places around, but we loved our stay and would definitely recommend it. People with accessibility issues may find it unsuitable.

The family who run this inn were delightful, and the staff greeted us warmly and even had two valets help with our luggage when we checked in after hours. Our October Sunday stay was wonderful. It was quiet and peaceful, with cozy places to stay, a guest-only cafe and enough room and privacy for everyone. We woke to a gorgeous lake and valley view, and were told the sunsets are beautiful too. Kids have swings and teeter totters set out on the lovely grassy terraces. A chart topper in every way!

The terrace is huge, the view is exceptional and the staff are friendly. Wifi works great too. There were just too many insects and mosquitoes. It's not suitable for people with accessibility needs, but if you're here, you mostly just want to sit back and enjoy the scenery.

It's about a six-hour drive from Bangkok. The resort is lovely and clean, and every room has a balcony looking out toward the sunset and surrounding mountains.
