The view was one of the best parts of our stay, and the rooms were attractive, well kept, and thoughtfully designed. Breakfast was delicious each day, too. Staff were kind and ready to help whenever we needed something, including arranging a motorbike for us. The hotel is about 20-25 minutes from Ao Nang, which made it wonderfully quiet and removed from the usual tourist crowds. We still found it easy to reach the places we wanted to see. We felt very comfortable here and would happily return.

We stayed on the property for both nights, taking time to relax instead of heading out to explore. It was a perfect way to end our Thailand trip, and may have been our favourite stay. The restaurant was lovely in the evenings, especially watching birds and dragonflies over the water, and the food was great. We could also order meals to the villa. The resort’s scenery, design, and whole atmosphere felt almost unreal. The staff were so kind and helped make the visit memorable. It is quite remote, so bear that in mind when booking, but we loved it.

We spent four nights at Anawa for our honeymoon and wished we had booked longer. The hillside villa felt private to us: there was no road behind it, and although we could see the neighboring villa through some trees, it was a good distance away and we never heard anyone. With only 13 villas, the property was peaceful. Ao Nang is about 25 minutes away; we went twice, for a Hong Island boat tour and the night market, but mostly preferred staying in. The service made everything easy. You arrange massages, drivers, in-room dining and other requests through WhatsApp, and replies came almost immediately. Laundry, transport bookings, excursions, and massages were all available at good prices. We each had three massages in the villa, and they were excellent. The rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, a fridge, microwave, and everything else we needed. The hotel, food, staff, and setting were beyond incredible. We travel often and have stayed at other five-star places, but nothing has come close to Anawa. The photos don’t capture it. No regrets booking here.

Dinner at sunset, with the gentle sound of running water, was a highlight, and we loved that it was easy to get around the property without it ever feeling crowded. The food was consistently wonderful. We also had an unforgettable massage on our private pool patio, with birdsong and a soft breeze around us. The two massage therapists deserve a special mention, as does the warm, attentive staff. After the constant bustle of Bangkok, Anawa’s calm atmosphere felt like a reset. Our villa was immaculate, comfortable, and carefully designed, with little details that made our four nights feel restful and private. By the first evening, my partner and I were already saying we’d come back. If you’re thinking of staying, run, don’t walk. It’s a special place.
