Tha Lane Bay Villas

This was a great place to get away from it all, and the staff were excellent and took care of everything we needed. They brought us breakfast each morning for $17 for two, with omelets, potatoes, yogurt, and fresh fruit. We rented a scooter to make the 40-minute trip into town, but only do that if you're confident riding and the weather is good. It was useful because the excursion we booked didn't pick up in this area, something to consider if you plan on doing a lot of excursions. Staff can arrange taxis too. For shopping, nightlife, and easier access to excursions, you'd be better off closer to the main city areas. One last highlight was the restaurant across the street, with good food from different cuisines and an amazing sunset view.

The place is fabulous, with excellent privacy, comfortable rooms, a kitchen, and bathrooms. It's a large property, with great views from inside and out. In the bedroom, two glass walls make it feel like you're right in the jungle beside the beach. The staff are polite, helpful, and excellent. I can't think of a better place to stay.

The villas are spaced apart, so they feel secluded, and the pool is peaceful with a lovely view of the sea and trees. Staff were friendly and very helpful with things like arranging taxis. Breakfast was good, with a wide range of items and options for my vegan wife.

We were sad to go, and if I return to Thailand, I know where I'm staying. The photos don't really capture the place. Our villa rooms were clean and comfortable, with natural light and lovely views, a perfect place to relax after a few days in Bangkok. Breakfast each morning was delicious and huge, especially the fresh fruit. The staff were one of the best parts: kind, friendly, and quick to help. Several greeted us at the car, took our luggage, and got us settled. Whenever we needed something, they replied to our Whatsapp messages promptly and brought it to us.
