The woman here was nice, but I wouldn't stay again. During my Mae Hong Son loop stop, the power kept going off, there were several roaches in my room, and I could hear my neighbor clearly, which made it hard to get a decent night's sleep. At 500 baht, I thought it was a little overpriced.

We arrived in Khun Yuam late at night and found the place on maps. The caretaker aunty got up to show us two rooms: one for 500 THB and a larger one for 700THB. Both rooms and bathrooms, as well as the rest of the hotel, were very clean. We had bottled water, a refrigerator, and an Aircon with fresh air. There’s lots of room to hang out, bring food, and eat, and the place is nicely decorated with several swings. Definitely recommend it for a night in Khun Yuam on the Mae Hong Son loop.

We paid 500B for one night in a room with two twin beds and aircon. The beds and blankets were clean, and the room was spacious. It had an attached bathroom, though the bathroom is outside under a roof. The wifi was strong and fast, and it was a quiet, peaceful area with a place to sit outside the room. The woman who greeted us was very kind. She didn't speak much English, but we managed to figure things out.

We visited during the peak period in December 2023 and got awesome service. It's an affordable place with an 'in the wild' feel, and the rooms are separate from their bathrooms. Last-minute availability is usually possible if the receptionist or lady boss is still around. They use recyclable materials, too. The chair was made of wood or cement, and the whole setup felt very environmentally friendly, like going back in time. A few things didn't suit me: crawling insects can turn up while you're bathing because the bathroom is outdoors, and the bed was too soft for my comfort as a big-sized guy. At 1.71m, I also hit my head painfully on the low doorway on the way to the toilet. The 7-11 was a bit far for me, about a five-minute ride.
