Chang Cliff Resort

The Thai food was the standout for me, especially the curries at breakfast. They can be easy to overlook, but they were the tastiest choices. The staff were really friendly too. Chang Cliff is a beautiful property with stunning room views, and the peacocks add a touch of elegance. I'd absolutely stay again.

We stayed in a bungalow for eight days. It was spacious, quiet, and comfortable, with a large bathroom, a big bed, effective air conditioning, and reliable Wi-Fi. The balconies look out over a beautiful area, and peacocks wander around the grounds. There's a pleasant pool and a shared space with tables for sitting out in the evening and watching the sunset. The hotel's own path down to the sea has a great view, though you can't swim there. We rented a motorbike to get to the sea; walking is possible, but the uphill return can be tough in the heat. A 7-Eleven is about a 5-7 minute walk away. Breakfast was fine, though it could use more variety.

The staff were all so friendly, and the peacocks deserve an extra mention 😊 We had a lovely week in a mountain view room with lots of light and a big terrace. The pool area is beautiful. White Sand Beach is a fair walk away, but the complimentary hotel tuktuk makes the trip easy. The resort is old and worn in places, though the basics worked well for us.

The staff really made this stay. They were kind, always cheerful, and helped us with everything. We rented a motorbike that turned out to be a little broken, and they replaced it right away, then gave us an even newer, better one the next day without us having to ask. They also folded our towels into something beautiful every day, which had never happened for me anywhere else in Thailand. The location is great, the pool has nice views, and while the room felt a bit old, it was still nice. Breakfast was basic.
