The beach and views, along with the rooms, made up for the weaker parts of the stay. Our room was spacious, very well kept, and had an excellent view. Breakfast was fine, though the choices were limited. I also thought the coffee was better than at most places. Room service staff were very good and made us comfortable. The restaurant team and other staff were more average. By Asian service and hospitality standards, I’d give it no more than 6.5/10, while by EU standards I thought the service was good. It’s quite far from things, but that didn’t bother us since activities included pickup and drop-off, and we’d come to relax.

Breakfast was delicious, and the sea view was splendid. The beach was lovely too. Our room was comfortable and nice, with a good view of the water, but privacy was a real issue. People constantly passed between the room, pool, and massage area and could look inside. There was no divider between neighboring terraces, and guests were already relaxing on the sunbeds on our private terrace when we arrived. A locked connecting door also meant we could hear everything next door. The shower was frustrating: hot water was unreliable, and you had to keep a button pressed for the overhead shower, so it wasn’t usable. Reception was a long way from the rooms and poorly signposted.

I’ve lived in Thailand for over a decade, and this is one of the best rooms I’ve stayed in.

Our room was right on the beach, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The water on one side was safely shallow, and you could snorkel from the Siam jetty on the other side, where there’s some coral reef. There’s also a lovely pool, and both breakfast and the restaurant were excellent. I couldn’t fault the place. I only wish I could’ve stayed longer, but they were fully booked.
