Baan Korakod

A lovely family runs the place, and the room was great. It was quiet even though they were busy, with hot water and cool air conditioning. We had an excellent overnight stay, just a few minutes’ walk from Saladan Pier.

There are only about six rooms, I think, and some windows face the corridor. That made me wonder why they were put there. The dark concrete industrial look on the walls also makes the rooms feel smaller than they might otherwise. The place seems quite new, and the air conditioning and fridge were fine. There’s hot water, though the pressure is low. I think the owner has a bakery next door, so you wake up to the smell of fresh bread. It’s within walking distance of the jetties and the market.

La Chambre was really affordable and good value for money. I stayed there while doing my diving course, and the location worked perfectly, with lots of restaurants, dive shops, and the night market nearby.

The location was great, and we were very satisfied with the suite. It was a very good place to stay, and the breakfast was simple but good.
