Lanta New Coconut Resort

The only problem we had was a horrible sewage smell in the bathroom. Other than that, this is our favorite place we’ve stayed in South Thailand. Our room was clean, and the staff were very attentive. The lady spoke good English and helped us book the ferry to the next island. The bungalows sit just off a very quiet beach, with shops and restaurants nearby. We had a really relaxing time in Koh Lanta.

We had such a happy week here, and would definitely come back. The price for the small bungalow was more than fair, especially with daily cleaning included. The place was renovated fairly recently, and the charming bungalows had air conditioning that worked great. The staff are lovely and friendly, and the restaurant food was really good. In the evening, you can have a beach barbecue with the fresh catch of the day or shrimp, and it was delicious. The location is ideal, and the pool has a great sunset view. There’s also a pool table, sunbeds, a massage area with very talented masseuses, and a nice kids’ club space, so it’s kid-friendly. They can arrange all sorts of services, from laundry and activities to transportation.

The pool is quite small, though I guess that works well for the kids. We had a great time here, with a comfy room and a little porch with a hammock. It’s right by the sea, and the area is really quiet. Thanks to all the staff for doing such a great job!

The restaurant was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s right on the beach, and the basic bungalow had everything I needed: a clean bed, AC, and a private bath. A great base for a few nights while exploring the island.
