Villa Siam Lanna @ Golden Pool Villas

The service made this place for us. We were really well looked after, and every morning there was a lovely breakfast by the pool, including homemade bread. Fantastic. The villas are a short walk from the shops and beach. Ours was shaded outside, which was a welcome break from the baking heat. Since the beach was so close, we spent more time there than at our previous villa and appreciated having somewhere out of the sun in the late afternoon. The layout is a bit unusual, with two self-contained units: one bedroom downstairs and three upstairs across another two floors. That could suit a moody teenager wanting privacy, though it didn’t work so well for our kids’ ages. The upstairs space was still plenty big enough. Highly recommended.

We were eight friends and stayed at this villa for two weeks. It was AMAZING! The host was quick to respond and helped with all sorts of situations, and Maria was very helpful too. Breakfast was amazing. We only tried it for the last two days before leaving and regretted not having it earlier. Thanks for making the stay so good. If we visit Koh Lanta again, we’ll probably be back.

Villa Siam Lanna was so spacious and tastefully furnished over three floors. We loved having places to eat together downstairs and by the pool. Jose cleaned the lovely pool area every day, and it was a beautiful spot to relax. We couldn’t fault the property, and I’ll be back as soon as I can. Communication with Bo and Paulo was excellent from booking through the stay. Maria and Jose were wonderful hosts who made everything easy. We arrived very late, and Maria still managed a quick but thorough check-in. Her breakfasts were generous and delicious. She and Bo and Paulo also had great advice about local tours and restaurants. We took the opal tour to Koh rok and ko ha for amazing snorkeling. Kantiang bay is good for swimming, especially at the southern end. We also went by taxi to Nui bay, everyone’s favourite, though watch out for monkeys, and to beautiful Klong jark. The elephant sanctuary following giants was well worth visiting. Bo arranged our transfers to and from the villa and they all went smoothly. We’re now at Ao Nang beach, which is nice, but I wish I were still in Koh lanta. It’s far less touristy and stunning.

The villa was gorgeous for our week’s stay. It’s secure and you enter with a code. We were just two people, so only used the bottom suite, though there are beds on different floors and room for up to eight. The bed was very clean and comfortable, and the shower had strong hot water. The pool was lovely and maintained daily. You can cater for yourself with everything provided, and the hosts were great at helping us find local restaurants and food options. They can also arrange tours with pickup, bike rental and transport to nearby sights. There’s lovely hiking in the national park, lots of beaches to pick from, food and shopping in Old Town, and boat trips to nearby islands.
