Naraya Resort

The place is peaceful and quiet, and somehow even more beautiful in person. There's a really comfortable hammock, too. Stina was friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. The beach is five minutes away, and across the road there are great restaurants, scooter rentals and a 7-11 for morning coffee. I'd book early, since we saw lots of people arrive hoping to get a room that day. If you're considering it, go ahead, you won't regret it. We'll definitely come back. Just a note: Stina, the current owner, has had the place for less than a year. The older photos and negative reviews are about the previous owner. Snap it up while you can.

Stina was a lovely, welcoming host and made us feel very comfortable at Naraya Resort. The rooms were nice, and the gardens and terrace were lovely places to sit. It's convenient for getting around the island, with the beach, restaurants, launderette and bike rental nearby. I took off a star because the road beside the resort was very loud and made it hard to sleep each night. The shower head was also awkwardly placed, so it soaked everything in the bathroom.

Stina's yoga classes were a highlight, professional and calming, and taught with real care and attention. Her guesthouse has a relaxed, clean, homey feel, and her warm personality made me feel welcome right away. I can highly recommend the classes if you're after a peaceful, comfortable getaway. The resort has artistic, thoughtful decor, and we enjoyed relaxing on the porches. Water and toiletries were provided, and the beach is about a five-minute walk away. There are tasty restaurants and a 7-11 just a minute away, so it's a convenient location. Stina made us feel very welcome, helped us book a ferry, and accommodated some extra requests when we got sick. We also really enjoyed her calming yoga class.
