Tohko Beach Resort

I found Tohko Beach Resort a peaceful hideaway, surrounded by nature and set on pristine shores. The buildings fit their surroundings nicely, and the sea views from the spacious rooms are lovely. Waking up to the sound of the waves was a treat, and the decor gave us a cozy place to return to after exploring. The accommodation blends comfort and simplicity. The restaurant serves tasty local dishes, and the staff were warm and attentive, making meals feel special. I also appreciated the resort's sustainability efforts, from energy-efficient amenities to products sourced locally. Those eco-friendly choices are part of the guest experience. It's a good place to find some quiet among the natural beauty, whether you're relaxing by the infinity pool or walking along the beach. For me, it offers a serene retreat with a balance of luxury and simplicity.

We expected a simple place and ended up staying seven nights instead of the three we booked. The beachside bungalow was basic, but the view made up for the lack of luxury. The beach is beautiful, the water is lovely, and snorkeling is possible right outside the beach hut. The food was good too. The beds could be more comfortable, and the linen had quite a few holes in it, lol. The staff were all approachable and friendly. Tong was the best host, and the young man serving tables worked incredibly hard and always had a smile, though I never got his name. If you want peace, good food, and can live with basic comforts, book it.

We had a lovely, peaceful stay. The hut was clean and had a perfect view; all the huts seemed to face the sea nicely. The beach was mostly ours alone, though the corals were like elsewhere on Phi Phi, including dead ones. Staff were friendly, especially Tong. Food came out quickly and was mostly authentic, though sometimes we wished they'd used more chili. Two little hopes for the future: pick up plastic from the beach for ten minutes each day. I know it's not the hotel's fault, but it would make a big difference. And maybe add some plants around the huts. The sunrise is stunning, so you'll want to get up for it. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The restaurant food is excellent, the beer is cold, and the staff are easygoing and fun. The bamboo huts are breezy and feel private, with plenty of quiet, though you do have to be okay with roughing it a bit. Snorkeling right off the beach is fantastic. For an incredible snorkel trip, take a quick boat ride to Mosquito Island. You can get there by long tail or by a walking path over the viewpoint. For me, this is the best resort on Ko Phi Phi if you're comfortable with the basics.
