We went at the start of rainy season, which seemed to be the beginning of mosquito season too. Kayao provided incense for nighttime, non-toxic repellent spray, and bed netting. It’s something to know about in advance, but we found it manageable once we took the right precautions. Koyao Island Resort gave us a great island experience, with wonderful grounds, a beach, pool, restaurant, and spa. The setting was inspiring, and we had everything we needed without the place feeling like a huge resort. The Thai authenticity really comes through. We enjoyed the food, rented a motorbike, used the spa, and arranged excursions with long boat guides. Staff also organized transport to and from the island, which made the logistics easy. I’m glad we chose Yao Noi. Even with only a ferry ride between them, it’s a completely different experience from mainland Phuket.

The rooms were amazing and made for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy, and they helped arrange excursions so everything ran smoothly. They even packed a big bag with towels, fruit, water, and other things we might need for the day. Everything was beautiful and well cared for, and we have nothing bad to say. We’ll definitely come back. If you want a fantastic resort, this is a must.

The villas are spacious, private, and beautifully designed, and the island feels peaceful and untouched. It’s a true paradise for a relaxing getaway or time in nature. The staff were warm and attentive, always smiling and ready to help. The food was fresh and delicious, especially the seafood. Special thanks to General Manager Mr. Veer, who made our stay memorable.

This was my fifth stay, and it still feels like coming home. The staff recognized me right away and made everything easy from the moment I arrived. This time we took a boat tour through all the caves, which was unforgettable. The scenery looked like a dream, and our guide made it even more fun. We rented mopeds and explored the island, finding hidden beaches and quiet places to stop for a drink. It’s a great balance of adventure and downtime. The rooms are spotless, the food is always fresh and nicely presented, and the atmosphere is just what you hope for when escaping to paradise. Highly recommend it, though fair warning, once you’ve stayed here, you’ll keep coming back like I do.

The little animals around the place made our stay extra special, from water buffalo and silly kittens to a baby goat, chickens, ducks, and monkeys 🐒. We slept in a tent and it was lovely, with a hot shower and toilet just a few metres away. It was quiet and relaxing, which was all we needed ☺️. This place is THE BEST if you’re looking to rest. The accommodation is simple but serene. Khlong son beach is just up the road, a six-minute motorbike ride away, and dreamy at high tide. It was probably our favorite beach on the island.
