Bounty Resort

The resort is lovely, with nature, a pool, and a good restaurant, and the staff are really friendly. Our sea-view bungalow was perfect for us. The room was a bit small, but clean and had everything we needed, and everything worked. I especially liked the hammock on the balcony. I'd come again!

I left my Watch in the room, and the staff brought it to the Pier before my boat left. They were super friendly and always helped us with everything. There was everything we needed within walking distance, and prices were very affordable. We had a very nice stay at the hotel and loved it.

We didn't hire mopeds, and that did affect our stay. The area is hilly and remote, so walking to places in the heat wasn't pleasant. There are no grab rides on the island, and taxis start at around 200bht per person. We used the resort's taxi to get to the pier when leaving, and it was efficient. The location is excellent for beautiful beaches, and there's a private beach at the resort where we watched the sunset both nights. Our two-night stay at Bounty Resort felt natural and remote, with butterflies fluttering around, little geckos to spot, and a sea view from the hammock on our deck. The resort was well kept. The pool was clean and a great addition, with sun loungers to enjoy. Staff service was good too, they checked in with us and always said hello. But the smell in the ensuite bathrooms was really unpleasant. I'm not sure if anything can be done, but that was the worst part. It felt like we had to brace ourselves every time we opened the bathroom door. The stay was pleasant and I'd recommend the resort, though Ko Phangan just wasn't our scene.

The staff were lovely and helpful, especially William. They shared good island tips and advice about health services. When I had a stomach issue, they gave us advice and checked that I was okay before we left. They also sorted out our two different rooms booked through Agoda and got us moved from the first to the second by 12pm. The hotel taxis were quick and reasonably priced. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the AC worked great. We loved the ocean views and restaurant. WiFi didn't work at all in the bungalows, which was a pain when I was sick for two days and just wanted to watch TV. I'd read about bugs getting into rooms, but that didn't happen to us. We got our deposit back immediately, and would return.
