Cyana Beach Resort

The rooms were super clean and well maintained, with strong air conditioning, a fridge, TV, kettle, and huge, comfortable beds with proper blankets, nice pillows, and cushions. The bedside lamps were a nice touch for late at night, and our room had a small balcony for two and a seating area overlooking the bay. There are a couple of resident cats and a dog, all well behaved and happy around guests. We made friends with them quickly! It rained a lot while we were there, but the reception, cafe, and bar area was so relaxing that we got comfortable there. The lady in charge, who I think was the resort’s main host, was lovely and attentive. Food was really good too. We only ate out once, before realizing you could order from the kitchen in reception. Some work was done one day to extend the pool area with planters. It should be lovely when finished, nearly doubling the pool area. Roads nearby aren’t very wide for walking, and local drivers seem to beep a lot if you’re in their way. There’s a shop less than a five-minute walk away for drinks and snacks. At the port, taxis wait and run routes around the island. A shared taxi to the resort costs 200 bhat each, and the taxi coordinators tell you which one to take. Reception also arranged our taxi back to the port. We had a great time at Cyana Beach and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking in the area.
